I'm Breaking
A Cycle.
I grew up with two alcoholic parents. Alcoholism wasn't something that happened to my family — it was the air we breathed. It was normal, until I got old enough to understand it wasn't.
And then I became one myself.
I have kids. And the moment I looked at them and saw what I was passing down — that was the moment everything changed. I'm not doing this for me. I'm doing this for them. I'm breaking the cycle.
I'm less than a year alcohol free. I'm not writing to you from a mountaintop with a polished story. I'm in it — right now — same as you. But the gym saved me. It gave me structure when I had none. It replaced the rush. It was the first thing in a long time I was genuinely proud of.
I'm not a therapist. I'm not a doctor. I'm a person who knows exactly what it feels like to white-knuckle a craving at 11pm — and to learn, slowly, that showing up to the gym the next morning is what gets you through it.
What I bring is 20+ years of lifting experience. I specialize in strength training and can build programs around your experience level and the tools you have to work with — whether that's a full gym, a set of kettlebells, or a sandbag in your garage. I'm also passionate about jiu-jitsu, which has taught me more about discipline, humility, and showing up than almost anything else in my life.
If you're alcohol free and you want to use fitness to stay that way, I'm the coach who gets it from the inside. Not because I read about it. Because I lived it — and I'm still living it.
